Documentary Series (10 x 60')

In 10 episodes, the docuseries FORA DO ARMÁRIO presents an intimate portrait of several characters after the revelation of their true sexuality to family members and friends. To discover, accept and expose someone’s real sexual identity can still be a taboo in our society – at the same time, it’s also a crucial moment in the lives of all that go through it, even indirectly. FORA DO ARMÁRIO shows the challenges of dealing with the aftermath of that revelation. The actions and reactions of the lead characters, their family members and friends are presented in interviews and scenes from their real lives, in the style known as “cinéma verité”. FORA DO ARMÁRIO is a co-production between HBO and Producing Partners.
